Florida EHDI and IDEA, Part C Quality Improvement Collaboration

This poster will provide an overview of Florida EHDI and IDEA, Part C quality improvement collaboration to develop and implement strategies to increase the percentage of infants who are enrolled in Part C programs by six months of age.

Kimberly Porter is the Florida EHDI Coordinator. Ms. Porter has worked extensively with stakeholders at local, state, and national levels to use implementation science to help ensure positive program impacts. Notable projects Mrs. Porter has coordinated include the Health Families Florida, Building Strong Families Pilot funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families and the Florida Early Steps Professional Development Project led by the University of Florida, Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies and funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. Mrs. Porter also provided technical assistance and training to local municipalities on implementation of the Gang Reduction Model through the National Gang Center funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

Ericka Horne is a second year Doctor of Public Health Student and the Informatics Coordinator/Data Analyst for the State of Florida’s EHDI Program. Her work focuses on data analysis and visualization that are used to improve health outcomes of Florida’s D/HH infant population by improving program services.
