ABSTRACT INFORMATION
Presenter Information:	Presenter 1: Name: Keith Garrett Affiliation: Keith Garrett, BS, MA; I am a native Phoenician but after many years in Colorado came back to Phoenix in 2002 with my 16 year old son and 8 year old daughter (they were 10 and 2 at the time). In 2003 my daughter was identified with a moderate hearing loss and she began wearing bilateral BTE hearing aids and attending Desert Voices Oral Learning Center. She is now mainstreamed at a charter school in Phoenix. I currently work as a Follow-up specialist for state of Arizona’s Newborn Hearing Screening Program in the Department of Health Services. Prior to that I served as the Audiology Technician at Phoenix Children’s hospital where I coordinated the newborn hearing screening program. Abstract Information:	Title: Arizona Hands & Voices Fall Expo Primary Track: 6-Family Issues Keyword(s): Event, Family Support, Parents, Professionals, Colloboration Abstract: In an effort to connect Arizona Families, professionals and local and national organizations who serve the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community, the Arizona Chapter of Hands & Voices hosted the inaugural Fall Expo in Phoenix. More than 200 people attended the event with 13 speakers and 22 exhibiting vendors. The expo was a success from the parent, professional and vendor perspective. This presentation will describe the planning and implementation of this event. The evaluation tools and evaluation results will be shared for the participants, the vendors and the speakers that presented. Possible positive outcomes for the families of Arizona will be identified and explored. Ideas to improve the second annual expo will be shared. Presentation(s): Not Available Handouts: Not Available
