Title: Gathering the Right Tools - Personalities within the Early Intervention Team
Primary Track: 3-Early Intervention
Keyword(s): family service plan team personalities

Abstract:

We are the Early Intervention Team. We have a project. We must 'build' a plan for the child, family, and interventionists. We build this plan by bringing together all the tools we have available. Susan Hagarty uses her education in mental health and her experience as a parent and advocate to take participants through the 'toolbox' of early intervention meetings. Are you a hammer or a screwdriver? How do you deal with that duct tape team leader? In this session participants will learn to identify the personalities of different tools (team members), how they relate to one another, and how to approach and influence different types of people.
