Beth Benedict (POC,Primary Presenter), Gallaudet University, beth.benedict@gallaudet.edu;
Beth S. Benedict, Ph.D., a Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C., has focused on family involvement in schools with deaf and hard of hearing children, early childhood education, advocacy, early communication, and partnerships between deaf and hearing professionals and early intervention programs and services. Her work has been shared in numerous publications and through her work as a national and international presenter. Dr. Benedict is very involved in different organizations and boards. She is the Chair of the Joint Committee on Infant Hearing, President of the American Society of Deaf Children, on the Council of Education of the Deaf, the Maryland Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Advisory Council and actively involved in a variety of other EHDI initiatives.

Susan Wiley (Co-Presenter), Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, susan.wiley@cchmc.org;
Dr. Susan Wiley is a developmental pediatrician with expertise in children who are deaf/hard of hearing. She has many years of experience serving children with multiple disabilities.

Marcus Gaffney (Co-Presenter), CDC, MGaffney@cdc.gov;
Marcus Gaffney is a Health Scientist and serves as the lead for the CDC EHDI Team. He has over 14 years’ experience working in the area of newborn hearing screening and is responsible for overseeing a range of activities, including supporting the development of jurisdictional EHDI Information Systems, assessing progress towards national goals, providing technical assistance, and supporting research efforts. He holds a Masters of Public Health from Mercer University.

Hallie Morrow (Co-Presenter), California Newborn Hearing Screening Program, hallie.morrow@dhcs.ca.gov;
Hallie W. Morrow, M.D., M.P.H., has been a program medical consultant with the California Department of Health Care Services, Children’s Medical Services Branch since 1997. She is responsible for the development and implementation of the California Newborn Hearing Screening Program, including program standards, outreach materials, and provider education efforts. She received her bachelor of arts degree in biology, summa cum laude, from Washington University, graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine, and earned her Master’s of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. She is board certified in Pediatrics and was in clinical pediatric practice for six years with The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. in Northern California. Dr. Morrow has worked in Public Health administration since 1991. She served as the Maternal and Child Health Director for Solano County, California for six years before joining the California Department of Health Care Services.

Tabitha Belhorn (Co-Presenter), Executive Director, Ohio Hands and Voices, tbelhorn1@udayton.edu;
Tabitha Belhorn is the proud mother of three children the oldest of whom is Deaf and the youngest who lives with a chronic kidney disease. Tabitha has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Vocal Performance from Heidelberg University. Tabitha currently is the Family Information Specialist at the Ohio Center for Deafblind Education and Region V Co-Coordinator for Hands & Voices. She is a former Parent Mentor at the Ohio School for the Deaf and is also a founding member and board member of Ohio Hands & Voices. She has a widespread knowledge of family support, early intervention, and special education services. Tabitha’s expertise helps connect families to high quality resources, networks, and information needed to improve communication access and education outcomes for children.
