15th ANNUAL EARLY HEARING DETECTION & INTERVENTION MEETING
March 13-15, 2016 • San Diego, CA
2/21/2011 | 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM | Topical Session 2 | International Ballroom A (M2) | 1 - EHDI Program Enhancement
Mandatory Reporting and Sharing of Information - Even When It Isn't Mandated
This session is specially targeted to State EHDI Coordinators. All State EHDI Coordinators encounter similar information sharing issues that impact EHDI programming. Whether it is hospital reporting, audiologist reporting or Early Intervention reporting, the EHDI information highway is full of potholes and fallen trees. How do we find solutions to the problems we all face? During this session the CDC 'Data Collection Points' definitions and the results of survey of EHDI State Coordinators addressing current data sharing issues and solutions will be presented. Following the presentation, the participants will be divided into round table discussion groups so that critical data sharing issues can be addressed and potential non-legislative solutions defined through shared resources and experience.
- At the end of the session, participants will be able to understand the definitions of the EHDI data collection points. At the end of the session, participants will be able to identify the critical data collection points for EHDI programming. At the end of the session, participants will be able to identify non legislative solutions to major data sharing issues.
