Promoting Access to hearing Screening for Out of Hosptial Deliveries
This presentation will cover the history of the collaborative effort in Wisconsin between providers and state agencies to increase the rates of hearing screening in babies that are born outside of the hospital. The unique challenges of working with the large Amish population in Wisconsin will be highlighted. Lastly this presentation will cover our latest effort, the creation of a Midwife Champion for Hearing Screening, to address the issues identified during the first nine years of our collaboration.
