Twists and Turns on the Parenting Journey

Twists and Turns on the Parenting Journey highlights the challenges and triumphs of raising deaf and hard of hearing children. Karen Putz shares the lessons she learned from raising her three deaf and hard of hearing kids and working in early intervention. This session includes 'The Mac and Cheese' story which examines the impact of everyday sounds and the importance of creating an environment with 100% access.

  • To gain an inside view of the parenting journey from diagnosis to teen years.
  • To understand the complexity of choices which parents face after a diagnosis.
