Connect & Discover

Keeping up with technology can be a daunting task because it is always evolving. For someone with hearing loss, there are many options when it comes to (hearing) assistive technology. Families need to learn about devices that alert to emergency situations, increase participation in the classroom, telecommunications and have access to entertainment. We will discuss options for individuals who use their residual hearing and individuals who are completely visual. Come and learn about CURRENT technology - helpful resources will be shared!

  • Name two ways to connect a student with amplification to a computer
  • Describe the differences between FM/DM, Infrared and Bluetooth transmission
  • List two resources for additional information on connectivity
