2026 Early Hearing Detection & Intervention Conference
March 15-17, 2026 • Jacksonville, FL
State Stakeholders' Meetings
WHAT is a State Stakeholders' meeting?
The goal of the EHDI Annual Conference is to enhance the implementation of comprehensive state/territory-based Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) programs. State and territory Stakeholders' Meetings provide dedicated time for EHDI teams and partners to connect, share information, and discuss topics important to their programs. These meetings build upon the information, ideas, and networking opportunities established during the conference.
State and territory Stakeholders' Meetings continue to be an essential part of the EHDI system — offering opportunities to share updates, exchange ideas, learn from peers, and strengthen partnerships. For 2026, most Stakeholder Meetings will be held outside of the EHDI Conference. They can be held in advance of the conference and/or as a follow up to the conference. There is also limited availability for some meetings to be held onsite in Jacksonville; however, the meetings would take place outside of the conference session schedule.
More Details about scheduling and logistics for the 2026 State/Territory Stakeholders' Meetings will be shared soon.
WHO should attend the Stakeholders' Meeting?
All conference attendees are encouraged to participate in their state or territory's Stakeholders' Meeting, regardless of their role.
These meetings offer a chance to:
- Learn about current EHDI program goals and initiatives,
- Discuss strategies to reduce loss to follow-up/documentation,
- Support timely screening, diagnosis, and enrollment in early intervention (1-3-6 benchmarks), and
- Explore system improvements that promote language acquisition and child/family outcomes.
Each meeting is facilitated by the EHDI Coordinator (or their designee) for that state or territory.
HOW will I find out about the Stakeholders' Meeting for my state/territory?
When you register for the conference, you will be asked if it is okay to share your contact information with your EHDI Coordinator. The EHDI Coordinators will contact registrants from their state/territory to share information or plans for a meeting time before, during or at the conference. If you have questions about this or want more information, please feel free to contact your state EHDI Coordinator.
